Sally Ann Austraw Butler, 91, of Ligonier passed away on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2019, in the Bethlen Home, Ligonier Township.

She was born May 18, 1928, in Latrobe, a daughter of the late Grant and Josephine (Johnston) Austraw.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert I. Butler, and sister, Claire L. (Adolph) Sanzi.

Sally married her husband, Robert, in 1958 and was married for 56 years. Sally was a member of St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church. She was a graduate of Latrobe High School Class of 1946, and prior to retirement was employed by Idlewild Park. Sally enjoyed spending time with her granddaughters, traveling and wintering in Florida.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara (Jeff) Yanits of Ligonier; son, Thomas A. Butler of California; two granddaughters, Olivia Yanits and Grace (Ryan) Knupp, both of Ligonier; two nieces, Linda Butler and Joann Bollinger Jahnsen, and two nephews, William Butler and Paul Bollinger.

Family and friends will be received 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday in Snyder Funeral Home Inc., 402 E. Church St., Ligonier.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home with Pastor Jerry Nuernberger officiating.

Private interment will follow in Unity Cemetery, Unity Township.
