Luther Leon “Luke” Speicher, 87, Jenner Township, Somerset County, went to meet his heavenly Father on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2020, at his home surrounded by his family.
Born June 14, 1932, in Jenner Township, he was the son of the late Thomas and Hazel (Spory) Speicher.
Luke is survived by his wife of 62 years, Helen F. Blank Speicher; four daughters, Shelley, Loretta, Alicia and Priscilla; son, Jesse; six grandchildren, including special grandson Jason, and two great-grandchildren.

After posting the bond to save the Roxbury Bandshell in 2005, he worked tirelessly to preserve and restore this beloved historic landmark.
He was a member of Laurel Trinity Lutheran Church, Jennerstown.
