James L. Carns IV, 51, of Latrobe died Friday, Aug. 9, 2019.
He was born Dec. 26, 1967, in Latrobe, a son of James L. Carns III and the late Barbara Koptyra Carns.
James was a loving son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. He was a talented painter, nature lover and gun enthusiast. His ornery grin and inappropriate jokes will be missed.
He is survived by his father, James L. Carns III, and stepmother, Marlene Carns, of Latrobe; his children, Kara (Carns) Austin and her husband, Justin, of Bradenville, Katelyn Carns of Trafford and James L. Carns V of Trafford; brother, C. Michael Carns of Omaha, Nebraska; sister, Terri Lynn Carns of Latrobe; stepbrother, Shawn Hunter, and stepsister, Dana Coyne; two grand-children, Trinity Palmer and Scarlett Austin; his K-9 daughter, Sophia, and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends will be received 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in McCabe Funeral Home, 300 W. Third Ave., Derry, where a blessing service will be conducted at 8 p.m. with the Rev. Salvatore R. Lamendola officiating.
