State police at Greensburg report Kaitlyn Binder, 19, of Unity Township was accused of disorderly conduct after troopers were summoned to investigate a report of a woman being physically attacked by her father at a home on Valleyview Drive in Unity Township around 3:14 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8. Upon investigating, police found that Binder allegedly purchased a pet rat against her parents’ wishes, then called her employer and claimed her father had attacked her in hopes she would be able to miss work and have her father arrested. Charges are pending.
State police at Kiski Valley report a 23-year-old Latrobe woman was arrested for suspicion of DUI following a traffic stop around 10:04 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, on Route 22 in New Alexandria. Police are continuing to investigate.
State police at Kiski Valley report a 38-year-old Derry woman was charged with criminal trespassing at a home on the 800 block of Georgina Drive in the Dogwood Acres Mobile Home Park in Derry Township at 12:49 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6.
State police at Kiski Valley report no one was injured when a 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven north on Route 217 in Derry Township by Kimberly A. Bellas, 53, of Boswell struck a deer north of Kingston Club Road at 6:06 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4.
State police at Greensburg report troopers are investigating after someone entered multiple unlocked vehicles at a home along Schultz Road in Unity Township between 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, and 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 5. According to police, a purse, jacket and headphones were stolen after the unknown suspect entered a 2007 Toyota Corolla, a 2018 Toyota RAV-4, a 2019 Toyota Tacoma and a 2012 Jeep Liberty. Police took a report of another theft from a vehicle nearby the same day.
