State police at Greensburg report troopers responding to a domestic incident at 141 Love Ave. at Seward Manor in St. Clair Township discovered a 15-year-old male of New Florence to have struck his father and caused a disturbance outside of the residence around 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 23. Charges were filed with the corresponding District Court.
State police at Greensburg report troopers responded to a care facility along Industrial Park Road in Hempfield Township for a 70-year-old woman who was cutting her wrists with a razor blade and stabbing herself in the chest above the heart with a pair of tweezers around 12:10 a.m. Feb. 8. According to police, a licensed practical nurse (LPN) was making her rounds and heard the woman yelling, “I want to die and be with my family.” The woman was transported to AHN Forbes Hospital in Monroeville via Mutual Aid Ambulance Service for treatment after the nurse began to administer first aid.
State police at Indiana report no one was injured when a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Club Lane and Resort Plaza Drive in Burrell Township, scraping the right rear fender of a 2012 Chevrolet Malibu that was turning into the parking lot of the Walmart store nearby and causing the Malibu to strike a 2014 Chevrolet Equinox head-on as it approached the intersection to leave the parking lot around 7:43 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 20. The driver of the Silverado was cited for failing to obey stop signs and yield signs.
Latrobe police report Michael James Hill, 59, of Latrobe was arrested for driving under the influence following a routine traffic stop on the vehicle Hill was driving on West Grant Street in Latrobe on Sunday, Feb. 16.
State police at Kiski Valley report Melissa Gourley, 46, was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, theft, receiving stolen property, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness after Gourley was allegedly caught on surveillance video removing a victim’s purse from her car and leaving Niki’s Quick Six with the purse. When troopers made contact with Gourley around 2:40 a.m. Feb. 18 on the 100 block of Jefferson Avenue in Oklahoma Borough, the purse and its contents were allegedly in the bed of a truck Gourley had been driving. Gourley allegedly became combative with troopers and kicked a trooper as she was being loaded into a patrol vehicle.
State police at Kiski Valley report no one was injured when a 2019 Ford F-450 driven east on Route 22 by Edward J. Murray, 52, of South Park failed to see a red light at the intersection of Route 22 and Jonnet Road in Derry Township during foggy conditions around 7:39 a.m. Monday, Feb. 17 and struck a 2010 Toyota Camry driven by Jamie K. Skirboll, 46, of Blairsville that had the right of way. Murray was cited for not driving at a safe speed.
State police at Greensburg report Tiffany Marcej, 36, of Mount Pleasant was arrested for stealing merchandise from the Macy’s store at Westmoreland Mall in Hempfield Township around 2:58 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 16 after allegedly being caught by store loss prevention.
State police at Greensburg report Richard A. Jones, 39, of Mount Pleasant was cited for harassment after allegedly grabbing a 33-year-old Mount Pleasant woman’s arms and throwing her to the ground during an altercation around 12:05 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, at a location along Route 819 in Mount Pleasant Township.
State police at Greensburg report troopers are investigating the alleged sexual assault of a 13-year-old Acme girl at a location along Route 31 in Donegal Township between 3:30 and 4 p.m. Monday, Feb. 10. According to police, the girl said she had been sexually assaulted by a known male suspect. Police are continuing to investigate. Anyone with information should contact police at 724-832-3288.
State police at Kiski Valley report no one was injured when a 2014 Jeep Wrangler driven by Robert R. Withrow, 57, of Latrobe traveled off the southbound lane of Route 982 just north of Sandy Avenue in Derry Township around 7:47 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 9, and struck a guide rail. Withrow was cited for not driving on the right side of the roadway.
State police at Greensburg report no one was injured when a 2013 Chevrolet Spark driven west on Business Route 66 in Hempfield Township by Courtney E. Sarver, 23, of Confluence left its lane and struck the concrete center median and rolled over onto its roof around 8:31 a.m. Friday, Feb. 7.
State police at Greensburg report no one was injured when a 2002 Acura TL driven east on Route 31 in East Huntingdon Township lost control and left the roadway around 11:41 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, and struck an electric wire fence and hay feeder. The vehicle’s driver, not identified in the police report, was arrested for DUI and cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic, police said.
State police at Indiana report Nicole Elliott, 36, and James Elliott, 31, both of Blairsville, were charged with scattering rubbish on Wednesday, Feb. 5, after three bags of garbage were dumped along Old Mission Road in Brush Valley Township, Indiana County. According to police, Brush Valley Township employees discovered trash in the bags belonging to both Elliotts, who initially denied dumping the trash.
State police at Greensburg report no one was injured when a 2014 Chevrolet Sonic driven by Chester V. Lorenzi, 59, of Greensburg failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Georges Station and Donohoe roads and struck a 2006 Ford Ecoline E-250 driven by Kenneth A. Monroe, 63, of Derry as it was crossing the intersection around 6:10 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 4. Lorenzi was accused of DUI, police said.

Tarpay, 30, of Export was transported by Mutual Aid Ambulance to Allegheny Health Network Forbes Hospital with a suspected minor injury after the 2015 Chevrolet Silverado he was driving west on Story Road in Salem Township lost control on the snow covered road, traveled across the eastbound lane and spun into a utility pole around 10:24 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 2. Tarpay was cited for not driving at a safe speed.
State police report no one was injured when a 2005 Chevrolet Monte Carlo driven south on Route 271 in Fairfield Township lost traction descending a hill near Shadow Drive and slid off the roadway and down an embankment around 8:41 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1.
State police at Kiski Valley report Sierra J. Clawson, 18, of Saltsburg was injured when the 2001 BMW 330Xi she was driving north on County Road just north of Bartz Road in Loyalhanna Township lost control on a left curve and spun, leaving the eastern shoulder of the roadway and striking a tree around 8:13 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29. Clawson was transported by LifeStat Ambulance to Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital with suspected minor injuries, police said. She was cited for not driving at a safe speed.
