Pennsylvania Solar Congress near Blairsville attracts hundreds

More than 200 people attended the 2020 Pennsylvania Solar Congress on Saturday at the Chestnut Ridge Golf Resort & Conference Center in Burrell Township, hosted by nonprofit Solar United Neighbors. While most of the participants were from Indiana and Westmoreland counties, some came from as far away as Virginia. The welcome address was given by Indiana County Commissioner Sherene Hess. Topics included the state of solar energy in Pennsylvania; the basics of how solar works in a home or small business; planning a solar festival; the past, present and future of electric cars, and solar advocacy training.
