New life springs forth

It’s that time of year again when herds of white-tailed deer welcome new fawns. On Tuesday morning, this little newborn was spotted under a car in the driveway of Bulletin contributing writer Maryann Gogniat Eidemiller of Greensburg. It hung around all day between her yard, a neighbor’s yard, and went across the road several times to another neighbor’s yard. It even ended up on Eidemiller’s front steps. The fawn’s mother came by several times to check on her baby, and the two eventually disappeared. A herd of deer lives in the woods bordering the Saybrook Village neighborhood.
