It’s official: The Jacob Kintzy (Kinsey) Memorial Museum, after sitting idle for several years, became an affiliate of the Ligonier Valley Historical Society on Monday, Aug. 26. Those signing the agreement are George Conte of the historical society; Roger West, a descendant of the Kinsey family, and Cathrine Shaderon, whose mother was Dorothy Kinsey, as Ligonier Valley Historical Society Executive Director Theresa Gay Rohall looks on. The Kinsey Museum will continue to function as its own 501(c)3 organization under the leadership of its current board of directors, with guidance from the historical society. Over the next several months, the 2020 tour and program schedule will be determined. In the meantime, you can call the historical society at 724-238-6818 to schedule a tour.
