Celebrating George Washington's special day

Celebrating the first president's 288th birthday, Fort Ligonier Director of Education Mary Manges holds the birthday cake for Gen. George Washington, played by Assistant Director of Education Matt Gault. Students from Greater Latrobe and Ligonier Valley elementary schools and Valley School of Ligonier participated in the fort's celebration. They learned about the first president's early days at the fort during his time being in the British Virginia militia during the French and Indian War.
