Bethany United makes homemade fondant Easter eggs

Bethany United Methodist Church in Latrobe continues its tradition of over 80 years of making homemade fondant Easter eggs. This fundraiser was started to help finance projects of the church and continues today. Shown here getting ready are Kathy Smitley and Glenda Somerville. There are nine different flavors: coconut, cherry coconut, maple nut, all nut, cherry nut, fruit nut, peanut butter, cherry and maple; available in both milk chocolate or white chocolate. Orders are due by March 20 to receive your choice. Price is $12 for approximate one-pound egg. Orders can be purchased by calling the church office at 724-539-2259 Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to noon or leave a message and your phone number and they will get back to you. You can also email your order to bethanyoffice22@gmail.com. Pickup times are Saturday, March 25, from 9 a.m. to noon, Monday, March 28, from 5-6 p.m. and Thursday, March 30, from 5-6:30 p.m. Bethany United Methodist Church is located at 2415 Laveen St.
