Democratic incumbents Henry Snyder and Herb Morrow reclaimed their New Alexandria Borough Council seats in Tuesday’s general election, according to unofficial results.

Snyder was the top vote-getter with 109 votes (46.9% of the vote), followed by Morrow’s 105 votes (45.2%). There were also 18 write-in votes.

Both Snyder and Morrow earned new four-year terms on council.

A total of 21 write-in votes were received for a two-year term on council, per Tuesday’s unofficial results.

Snyder earned a two-year term on council in the 2017 general election. A borough resident for more than 35 years, he was tabbed in February 2016 to finish the remainder of the term of Beverly King, who later rejoined council.

Morrow earned a four-year term on council in the 2015 general election.
