PUBLIC NOTICE

Notice is hereby given that the Zoning Hearing Board of the Township of Ligonier will hold a special meeting on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at 7:30 PM at the Ligonier Township Municipal Complex located at One Municipal Park Drive, Ligonier, PA 15658, and will hear the following request:

The Appeal 2018-01-ZHB of Denied Change of Use for Amanda Bridge, property owner of parcel number 51- 17-09-0-060, is located at 3484 Rt. 711, Ligonier, PA 15658.

Ms. Bridge has requested to change the non-conforming building use from a storage unit to a professional office.

In accordance with Article V 5.2 Section A; “Principal Uses permited-by-right in the R-2 District are listed in the table of uses located in Appendix A. “Ms. Bridge is requesting a variance or a special exception to allow the use to be commercial.

Further, the Board will also conduct and engage in any and all other general business that may come before the Board at that time. All interested individuals are invited to attend.

PUBLIC NOTICE

The Unity Township Zoning Hearing Board will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 beginning at 6:00 P.M. in the Supervisors’ Meeting Room, Unity Township Municipal Building, 154 Beatty County Road, Latrobe, Pennsylvania 15650 on the following matters:

1. The request of William Cline & Joellen Bruno for a dimensional variance to reduce the rear yard setback from 50’ to 15’ to construct a 24’ x 40’ garage on property located at 123 Water Tower Road, Latrobe, PA 15650. The property contains approximately 4.6572 acres of land, with improvements, bears Westmoreland County Tax Map Parcel No. 61-09-00-0-057 and is located in the A Zoning District.

2. The request of Mollie & Glenn Repko for a dimensional variance to reduce the required minimum lot width at the building line from 150’ to approximately 145.5’ to construct a house on property located off Armel Road, Latrobe, PA 15650. The property contains approximately 2.8356 acres of land, without improvements, bears Westmoreland County Tax Map Parcel No. 61-26-00-0-038 and is located in the A Zoning District.

3. The request of Robert Mehalic for either a variance or change of nonconforming use to change the use of property located at 1612 Longview Drive from the former “Soundtown” to a hair salon and spa. The property is approximately 125’ x 200’, contains a house and commercial building, bears Westmoreland County Tax Map Parcel No. 61-14-14-0-010 and is located in the R-2 Zoning District.

4, The request of Janine and Michael Koehler for either a variance or change of nonconforming use to change the use of property located at 125 Silky Lane, Greensburg, PA 15601 from an auto body shop to a machine shop. The property contains approximately 0.638 acres of land, with improvements, bears Westmoreland County Tax Map Parcel No. 61-18-00-0-276 and is located in the R-1 Zoning District.

5. The request of Lisa Poponick for a special exception to conduct a catering business on property at 161 American Legion Road, Latrobe, PA 15650, and a variance to conduct same from an accessory garage on such property. The property is approximately 150’ x 100’, contains a single-family residential dwelling and detached accessory garage from which a sign business also operates, bears Westmoreland County Tax Map Parcel No. 61-19-16-0-073 and is located in the R-1 Zoning District.

Complete copies of the applications referenced above are available for review and photocopy in the Unity Township Zoning/Code Enforcement Office during normal business hours. Any person having an interest in the above matter should attend the hearing at the time, date and place set forth above. Any person requiring special accommodations to attend should contact the Unity Township Zoning Officer at least 24 hours in advance so that appropriate arrangements can be made.
